Biography
Father Armando Tolosa was born in Rionegro, Colombia and is one of youngest of 24 children. He received a degree in Public Accounting and Business Administration from St. Thomas University in Colombia.
Upon arriving to the United States in 1999, after having worked in different fields, he decided to enter the seminary after 2 years of discernment and prayer. He received a certificate in pre-theology from St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami in 2004. He earned a Master’s Degree in Divinity from St. Vincent de Paul in Boynton Beach, FL in 2010.
He was ordained from the Archdiocese of Miami in 2010 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. His first assignment at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church in Pinecrest, FL from 2010 – 2013. Meanwhile, he became the adjunct Spiritual Director of St. John Vianney College. After this, he transferred to St. Augustine Catholic Church in Coral Gables, FL as Parochial Vicar. During this time, he was assigned as the Spiritual Director for the Charismatic Renewal movement in the Archdiocese of Miami.
In 2015, he became the full time Spiritual Director at St. John Vianney College which was a blessing to be part of the formation of the future priests of the Archdiocese of Miami. In 2018, he was assigned to be Parochial Vicar at Mother of Christ Catholic Church. Lastly, Fr. Tolosa was promoted to Parish Administrator at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, where he is currently serving with love and passion for Jesus Christ and His bride, the Church.
